    Nova swimmers hold on to home meet medals

    Nova Centurion held their 1st Long course open meet at the Harvey Hadden sports village in the 50 metre 8 lane pool.

    As one of the last few meets in the competition window to decide who competes in the British Summer Championships this July, It attracted swimmers from across the UK.

    Awards were to be given for the top 3 swimmers in each age group in heats of 50m, 200m, 400m and distance events, with finals for all 100m and 200m IM catergories and a prize for top visiting club.

    Nova swimmers came out in force for their home meet, with 140 swimmers competing across the 2 days, winning a total of 156 medals. There were many hatricks in the younger age groups for Nova, resulting in 58 Gold, 54 Silver and 44 Bronze medal wins.

    The swimmers were also treated to a special visit from World record holder, Olympic Team GB swimmer Liam Tancock, was on hand to sign autographs.
