• The 2017 British Summer Championships - WORLD RECORD GOES TO OLLIE HYND MBE

    The 2017 British Summer Championships took place across six days at Ponds Forge in Sheffield from 25–30 July. The Championships will continue to form part of a broader Performance Pathway Strategy aimed at increasing and supporting junior talent on the journey towards senior medal-winning performance, as well as offering more athletes across the home nations an opportunity to compete at one of the end of season events. This event is also aimed at Able bodied and Para swimmers to which NOVA centurions is proud to support both. The Para swimmers were also competing for the which doubled as the trials for the IPC World Championships.

  • Bill Furniss awarded OBE in Queens Birthday Honours

    Nova Centurion Life Member Bill Furniss has been awarded the OBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List. 


    Bill was Head Coach at Nova from 1980 until March 2013 when he took on the role of British Swimming Head Coach. Over the years his personal development as a coach matched the increasing standard of our swimmers, ultimately seeing him become the best ASA Coach Tutor in the country.

  • ASAEM Regional Championships A1 Squad

    The East Midland Region is one of the 8 regions of the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) and was established when the ASA reorganised its regional structure. The East Midland Regional Championships is a swimming competition that is run for all of the swimmers in swimming clubs affiliated with the ASA from the counties of Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire and Nottinghamshire.

  • ASAEM Regional Age Championships Mansfield Squad

    Firstly, I just want to say how incredibly proud I was of all of the 22 swimmers who qualified for the Age Group Championships and for their behaviour and attitude throughout the weekend.
    It was our best championships of this age group to date, seeing numbers rise from 16 qualifiers last year to the above mentioned 22 this year, so well done to you all.

  • Nova Centurion May LC Meet 2017

    The NOVA Open meet attracted a lot of clubs from far and wide, Mount Kelly school from South Cornwall were the furthest to visit our home pool and take advantage of our popular meet which is within the British Summer Championships qualifying window.

    This event also attracted a lot of  Para swimmers, we hope to see them all again our next event.
