Nova Centurion May LC Meet 2017

Posted by Denise Mead on 19 May 2017

Even though this was our own meet, the NOVA A1 squad had not targeted the meet from a training point of view, as the Midlands Regional Championships is only 2 weeks away.
The Nottingham A1 Squads 15 swimmers targeted 93 events over the 2 days. 20.4% of which were converted into new PB’s and an additional 19% achieved seasonal bests in the events. Finals were held for the 100M events and the 200IM, of which our A1 squad team achieved 20 finals.

Having just returned to a full training programme following target meets in April and the stress of impending exams it is always difficult for Youth/Senior swimmers to achieve best times at this time of year, however our older swimmers were very competitive & showed some excellent spirit whilst also delivering some excellent processes. This highlighted how competitive our swimmers are at this point of the season and bodes well for the remainder of the year.

NOVA would like to thank all the volunteers, judges and time keepers for assisting this weekend, without you we would not be able to hold the meet.

NOVA would also like to thank The Nottingham Building Society for sponsoring this weekend’s meet.

We hope to get the same support from everyone for our next Nova Open Meet, this will be a Long Course event held on the 21st & 22nd October 2017 at our Home pool Harvey Hadden Sports Village; See our information pack for this event.  ENTRY PACK
