The standard of competition was high and Nottinghamshire Nova swimmers did extremely well to come away with 30 x Gold medals, 23 x Silver medals and 20 Bronze medals. The A squad and A1 swimmers from both Mansfield and Nottingham collectively secured 34 new Personal Best times and 59 new Season Best times.

Nathan Hilton, Director of Coaching at Nova Centurion was delighted with the weekends efforts and commented, “This meet offered swimmers their last opportunity to qualify for the Swim England Winter Championships and whilst conditions were challenging the swimmers took them in their stride and produced some outstanding performances, a special mention must go to Josh Skinner who registered his first Winter Nationals qualification time in the 1500m Freestyle and Polly Holden who secured the 400m Freestyle qualification time for the same Championships.

Overall the swimmers have had a fantastic start to the season and should we keep progressing at this rate we will have an outstanding summer, we are now turning our attentions to delivering peak performances at the Swim England Winter Championships and the Northampton Open Meet.”
