Nottinghamshire Sports Awards 2017

Three members of Nova Centurion were finalists for this year's awards which were held at the Nottingham Conference Centre on 1st February.


Ben Foulston - Junior Disabled Sportsperson of the Year

Oliver Hynd MBE - Disabled Sportsperson of the Year

Glenn Smith - Performance Coach of the Year


The awards were decided by either a public vote or by a panel of sports professionals.


Congratulations to all three Nova members for winning the awards!


This was the first time that Ben has been a finalist for the Junior Disabled Sportsperson of the Year category.  The award has previously been won by former Nova swimmer Sam Hynd in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 and current swimmer Oliver Hynd MBE in 2011.

Oliver was again announced as Disabled Sportsperson of the Year having won the award in the previous four years.

Glenn completed the hat-trick by again winning the Performance Coach of the Year having previously won the award in 2006, 2009, 2012 and 2016.
