Medal haul for Kelsie Campbell

Kelsie flew out on her own to join and represent Jamaica swimming squad at the CENTRAL AMERICAN AND CARIBBEAN AMATEUR SWIMMING CONFEDERATION (C.C.C.A.N.) in TRINIDAD AT THE NATIONAL AQUATIC CENTRE (see Map)

The CCCAN summons all its affiliated countries, Colombia, Guyana, Surinam, and Venezuela of the South American Confederation and Guadeloupe and Martinique of the French Swimming Federation to participate in the Central American and Caribbean championships

Kelsie was entered for 5 events 50, 100, 200m Free and the 50 and 100m Fly.

 

Kelsie swam 5 events and achieved 4 medals, 1 Gold, 2 Silver and 1 Bronze, she achieved 3 new PBs and 2 seasonal best times. What an achievement at this exotic meet.

 

50m Free - she made the final coming 3rd in the race with a new PB and was awarded the Bronze medal.

200m Free - she qualified for the final but withdrew. Her time in the heat was a new seasons best time

100m Free - she made the final coming second in the race with a new seasons best time and was awarded the Silver medal.

50m Fly - she made the final coming 2nd in the race with a new PB and was awarded the Silver medal.

100m fly - she made the final winning the race with a new PB and was awarded the Gold medal.

 

WELL DONE KELSIE you are a role model for all the younger swimmers of the NOVA squad.
